Heard a new voice on the phone lately? We interviewed our newest NES team member, Amanda, so you can get to know her better...

What will be your role at NES?

I am working as a Practitioner Experience Team member focusing on customer service. I also offer a helping hand to the shipping and marketing department when needed. Being part of a smaller company is cool in that aspect and I've learned so much already.

What did you do in your past life (before NES)?

I graduated with a bachelor's in Hospitality & Tourism Management. I've had a lot of odd jobs in the hotel and restaurant business to student leadership roles at my alma mater, Florida Atlantic University. My favorite experiences though have been interning at Walt Disney World and adoption counseling at local animal shelters. They were the most rewarding and allowed to me meet some awesome people with similar passions.

Where did you grow up?

Born and raised in Southern Florida. I lived in North Carolina for a few years most recently so it's so nice to be where the mountains and the beach meet. It's like being in between my two homes.

Pick three words your friends would use to describe you.

Gregarious, thoughtful and curious

If money were no issue, what would you do with your life?

TRAVEL! It's so cliche but the world is too big and life is too short to spend your life in one corner. And eating around the world sounds so fun.

What’s your biggest fear?

Losing a loved one. I used to have reoccurring dreams that someone close to me passed and I would wake up in tears, it all felt so real.

Celebrity you’d like to have dinner with?

John Lennon

How do you stay healthy?

Yoga, hiking and drinking water 90% of the time.

Favorite food?

Thai!! Mexican and Japanese are close behind.

Name three things that inspire you.

1) Kind gestures
2) Nature and its way of embracing being in the moment. When I'm outside and unplugged from the world, life's everyday little stresses feel so small.
3) My mom :)
